Kinkajou’s genus is potos and its species is flavus. This kind of animal lives in Amazon rainforest. Kinkajou normally sleeps in the upper tree and hides in the hole of a tree. Its body is about 16 -30 inches, and its tail is about 15-33 inches. In addition, it weighs about 3-10 bounds. The sexual maturity for the male is 1.5 years and the female is 2.25 years. The mating season is year round. The gestation period is 112 -118 days. A female can produce 1 to 2 babies. The baby’s size at the beginning is about 5-7 ounces. The baby’s ears open up after 5 days and their eyes are closed for two weeks. Normally, the birth is about one year, and the baby lives with its parents for a month and half.
